Name: Ramla Hashi
Bio: I am a young Muslim woman, born in Somalia brought up in Australia. One of my passions is to write about my experiences and give them a little fictional twist. My dream was to always be the next great Australian writer. Now I am studying Liberal Arts at Victoria University, I hope to get into Bachelor of Arts at Monash University and major in Communications. I am currently working at Carlton Parkville Youth Services as a program coordinator. Working at the Youth Services helped me figure out that my experiences weren’t exactly unique to me and that is what brought me to write about my experiences as a young Muslim woman trying to make sense of the two worlds that I lived in.
